SPECIAL DEAL FOR NON-SUBUD GUESTS

Members who are being accompanied by guests, such as non-Subud spouses, partners, non-opened Subud youths over age 18, and close friends, will be happy to hear that these will be paying a fee of just €200 for the whole congress (regardless of when they register), or €25 day, if just coming for a short period.

Those paying for the whole event will receive the full registration package, including a free public transport card, covering an 80km radius.

All the non-Subud participants will have full access to every aspect of the congress, except for the latihan and kejiwaan workshops. This means access to the special food deals planned for congress, the bazaar, Subud Village, non-kejiwaan workshops, performances and soon.

Members bringing a non-Subud guest (as defined above), should register that person as an additional attendee on their registration form. They should not open a new registration form for them. When adding their guest, the member should at first ignore the payment total (currently €390) and simply mark ‘pay later’.

The member should then write to Rita Oakford at: rita.oakford.wcot2018@subud.org, giving their registration number and the name of the accompanying person. Rita will then inform how to proceed with payment.

We trust that members will understand that, while we might like to accept guests for free, the reality is that putting on a world congress that aims to look out for the needs of all the participants is a very costly business.

Increase of of the registration fee on June 16, 2018

Please be aware that the period covering the €390.- registration fee will end on  June 15, 2018. At that point the registration fee will then be increased to €450.-

If you have registered but not paid yet, please pay by June 15, so as to benefit from the second period registration fee.

The World Congress Assistance Fund is currently fifty percent short of the minimum sum it was aiming for: namely €50,000. This sum, which in itself is considerably lower than the ideal, aims to support delegates from countries unable to finance their delegate travel, members of all ages who need help, and the many members, particularly younger ones, who are looking to work as staff or volunteers during the congress, whose work will be indispensable for the smooth running of the congress.

So far, only around €26,000 have been collected, and the Assistance Fund has already allocated most of it. This means that many – including volunteers – will have to be disappointed and cancel their attendance to World Congress.

The theme of this World Congres, Unity, starts with helping each other, to allow as many members as possible to have the nourishing experience of attending World Congress. Please consider donating directly, encouraging others (whether attending or not) to contribute, organising fundraising events at your groups, and anything else you can think of to help.
